DESCRIPTION
Han tsutsu-gata (jap. 半筒型 half cylinder type) matcha bowl.

Kurinuki, in Japanese ‚to hollow‘, is a technique relating to a specific traditional Japanese hand-forming process. The diameter and high walls of this bowl make it possible to beat the matcha with the bamboo whisk (Chasen) and obtain the desired fine and creamy foam. The large opening allows the matcha to express all its flavors.

Designed and handcrafted by MAISON PASTIS in Switzerland.

MATERIAL
Black stoneware with a black matte glaze, fired at 1250 °C in electric kiln. Polished base with a diamond grinding sponge.
